Bora (or Project 1239) is the name of a class of Soviet, and now Russian, missile corvettes that were built between 1987 and 2000. A single ship of this type is approximately 66 meters long, with a maximum width of 17 meters. The displacement does not exceed 1,100 tons and the maximum speed is as high as 55 knots! The armament consists of: a single 76.2 mm AK-176M cannon, 2 quad 3M-80E Moskit rocket launchers and 2 sets of 30 mm AK-630. Bora-class ships were constructed in a catamaran layout - until today they are one of the largest ships in the world in such a layout. Ships of this type were built primarily to carry out patrol tasks in a relatively short distance from their own bases and to defend the coast. In relation to their size, they received a very rich set of weapons, allowing them to destroy surface, underwater and air targets (at short and very short distances). It is assumed that currently units of this class are in the Black Sea Fleet.
