Most often, the AN / SPG 62 radar is closely related to the AN / SPY-1 air surveillance radar, which is one of the most important elements of the AEGIS system. It is assumed that one AN / SPY-1 radar is able to cooperate simultaneously with four AN / SPG 62 fire control radars.
