HMS REVENGE EASY-CLICK SYSTEM

HMS Revenge was a 16th century British galleon that was launched in 1577 - the first of thirteen Royal Navy ships to bear this name. HMS Revenge was built at the Royal Dockyard in London under the supervision of the royal boatbuilder Matthew Baker. The unit had probably about 450 tons of displacement with a length of about 43 meters. It was armed with 36 on-board guns. HMS Revenge, compared to other galleons of the Tudor era (eg HMS Mary Rose), had clearly lowered superstructures, was also much slender and had a clearly changed ratio of length to width. As a result of these changes, HMS Revenge was a ship with high maneuverability, probably good speed, and had good sea properties. The great career of the ship began in 1587, when it took part in the expedition of English ships to Cadiz. A year later - in 1588 - she was the flagship of Francis Drake during the struggle with the Spanish Invincible Armada, which, however, proved to be defeated and in the same year lost the battle with the English fleet. In the course of these struggles, HMS Revenge confirmed its high combat abilities. After heroic defense by the crew, the ship was captured by the Spaniards in the Azores in 1591 and lost shortly afterwards in a storm.
