DTR is essentially a Soviet, self-propelled armored draisine from the interwar period and World War II. It served as a railroad armored reconnaissance vehicle and a light transport vehicle. It was also used to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. It was used in the Soviet railroad troops under the Red Army. The presented rail vehicle was developed in 1934 and entered the line shortly after. It had relatively thin armor ranging from 4 to 8 millimeters thick, and its armament consisted of a total of four machine guns. One Maxim rifle was placed in the rotating turret at the top of the vehicle, and one 7.62 mm DT rifle was placed on the sides of the car and at the front of the vehicle. The DTR draisine also received a 71-TK-1 radio with a rod antenna. Although the production of this vehicle lasted from 1935 to 1941, it is assumed that no more than 10-12 DTRs were produced. They took part mainly in the initial phase of the war with the Third Reich in 1941-1945.
