Ключевые слова #LF-107
The Letov LF-107 Lunak was a Czechoslovak, one-seat, performance-sport glider with a wooden structure in a medium wing configuration. The prototype flight took place in 1948. Serial production started shortly after, leading to the production of approx. 75 gliders of this type. The curb weight was 205 kilograms. The LF-107 Lunak project was developed shortly after World War II by Rudy Letov, and was later developed by a team with Karel Dlouha in the line-up. The aircraft turned out to be a highly successful design, with very good flight characteristics and capable of glider acrobatics. It was also relatively cheap to produce and simple to operate. However, due to political reasons (the beginning of the Cold War), exports to Western countries were limited, and serial production for the domestic market also turned out to be small. It is worth mentioning, however, that in its course a version of the VT-7 with a simplified structure was developed, which was used for training pilots of the Czechoslovak Air Force.
