The Maserati 250F is an Italian Formula 1 sports car that made its track debut at the 1954 Argentine Grand Prix and competed in F1 racing until the 1960 season. Its designers were Valerio Colotti and Gioacchino Colombo. The Maserati 250F was originally powered by a single 2.5-liter 6-cylinder engine. The Maserati 250F was developed with the aim of bringing the company back to Formula 1 racing and - de facto - it was developed almost from scratch. The car body rested on a tubular steel frame. The car also had good aerodynamic properties and nice track properties. It was also relatively light - its curb weight did not exceed 630 kilograms. It is also worth adding that initially the Maserati 250F was powered by a 6-cylinder engine, but it was relatively quickly converted into a 12-cylinder unit. Undoubtedly, the Maserati 250F turned out to be a successful design, Juan Manuel Fangio, who rode it, won the world championship twice: in 1954 and 1957.
