The E-10 was an experimental German tank destroyer from the Second World War that never entered mass production. It was probably armed with a 75mm KwK 40 L / 43 or L / 48 gun and 1 or 2 machine guns MG34 cal. 7.92 mm. The design work for the E-10 tank destroyer was initiated in as part of the Entwicklungsserie program, a program for the development of German armor, which was to lead to the creation of a standardized design for a series of six armored vehicles of different weights, but using as many common components as possible. Analytical and conceptual work under this program was initiated in mid-1943. The E-10 vehicle in this project was to be a relatively light vehicle, using the proven chassis of the Pz.Kpfw 38 (t) tank, with a defect of 10 to 25 tons, with a strong emphasis on mobility and easy masking of the vehicle in the field. For this purpose, inter alia, the use of an adjustable chassis was envisaged. Ultimately, the E-10 was to replace such cars as the Hetzer or Marder in the line.
