The GAZ-14 Czajka was a Soviet luxury passenger car from the post-war period. The car was produced in the years 1977-1988. The car was powered by a single, 5.5-liter, 8-cylinder 220hp engine. The engine was synchronized with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car was 611.4 cm long, 202 cm wide and the wheelbase was 345 cm. The GAZ-14 Chaika was designed as a luxury limousine intended for use almost exclusively by high-ranking civil and military dignitaries of the USSR and other countries of the Eastern Bloc. The GAZ plants located in the city of Gorky were responsible for the design of the car and its production. The vehicle was in fact a far-reaching development of the GAZ-13 car, and compared to its predecessor, it differed primarily in the external appearance, a modernized power unit with greater maximum power, but also provided passengers with greater travel comfort and greater safety, among others thanks to far-reaching modernization suspensions. The car was also characterized by better driving dynamics. It is assumed that a total of about 1,200 GAZ-14 Czajka cars were manufactured.
