SAMOCHÓD POŻARNICZY FAUN FL.KFZ 3500

Faun Fl.Kfz 3500 is a modern, specialized fire truck used both in the civil and military sphere, of German production. The vehicle is 9.5 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 3.25 meters high. The drive is provided by a single, 8-cylinder Deutz engine. The presented fire truck was developed by the German company Faun-Werke, which was founded in 1917, and from the beginning of the 1990s, its legal successors are: FAUN Umwelttechnik GmBH and TADANO FAUN GmBH. The main initiator of the development of the presented vehicle was the West German Bundeswehr, which, from the mid-1970s, was striving to obtain a completely new fire-fighting vehicle, with the highest possible technical advancement, capable of effectively fighting the fires of such machines as PANAVIA Tornado or F-4 Phantom, airplanes these took with them significantly more fuel than their predecessors in the Luftwaffe, which in turn - in the event of a fire - meant greater problems when extinguishing them. It is worth adding that finally, the new vehicles entered service only at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The presented vehicle is able to transport a large amount of materials and extinguishing fluids.
