The Verdeja was a prototype Spanish light tank of the Second World War. The vehicle prototypes were built in 1939, but the tank never entered mass production. Probably only two copies of this car were built. The tank was powered by an 85hp Ford V8 engine. Ultimately, it was supposed to be armed with a single 45mm cannon and two 7.92mm machine guns. Verdeja was developed on the initiative of the captain of the Spanish army, Feix Verdej. The tank was therefore named after its designer. The vehicle used a lot of components from the T-26 and Panzer I tanks, and was designed to replace both of these structures in line. However, due to the long development process and the very dynamic development of armored weapons during World War II, Verdeja never entered mass production. As a curiosity, it can be noted that a self-propelled gun with a 75 mm caliber was built on the chassis of this vehicle after 1945. However, it also did not go into production.
