The T16.1 (other designations: TKw2 or BR94) is a series of narrow-gauge freight steam locomotives (steam locomotives) that were produced in the period 1916-1925 at the BMAG plant in Berlin. The service weight of the locomotive was 84.9 tons. The diameter of the driving wheels was 1,350 mm, and the axles were constructed in the Eh2T system The T16.1 steam locomotive was constructed by Robert Garbe and was presented to a wider audience before the outbreak of World War I. Compared to competing locomotives designed by Henschl (the T.15 steam locomotive), it was mechanically more efficient, cheaper to operate and was almost perfectly balanced. The locomotive quickly turned out to be highly appreciated by German railwaymen, and after the end of World War I, about 40 T16.1 steam locomotives were delivered to Poland as part of war reparations. Interestingly, also after World War II, our carrier's rolling stock was enriched with these locomotives and only then received the TKw2 designation from PKP. They were used until the 1970s and later handed over to industrial railways.
