The Nieuport 25 was a prototype French fighter plane in the 1.5-wing configuration from the First World War. The machine first flew in 1917, but never entered production. The drive was provided by a single Clerget 9Bd engine with 130 HP. The deck armament consisted of a single 7.7 mm machine gun. Model 25 was developed at the Societe Anonyme des Establissements Nieuport aviation plant by Ing. Gustaw Delage, as a development of the Nieuport 27 machine. Compared to the original, the new plane had slightly different aerodynamic solutions and, above all, a completely different power unit. Interestingly, it was originally planned to install a 147hp engine, but problems with its installation on the plane meant that it was decided to install a 130hp unit. However, in the course of tests, it turned out that the new plane is in no way an improvement over the standard 27 models, which meant that it was not put into production. The only produced copy served the ace of French aviation - Charles Nungesser.
