The PZL-12 (another designation: PZL-H) was a Polish prototype mixed-structure high-wing flying boat with a fixed landing gear from the interwar period. The drive was provided by a single engine de Havilland Gipsy III with power up to 120 HP. The plane was first flown in 1931, but it did not enter mass production. The machine did not have a permanent on-board armament. The PZL-12 was the first designed and constructed flying boat in Poland after Poland regained independence in 1918. The creator of the machine was Eng. Zygmunt Puławski. Interestingly, the machine was built for the own needs of the above-mentioned engineer, and its construction was partially amateur, and the PZL plants initially did not intend to offer the aircraft on the commercial market. The new machine was supposed to be a de facto tourist machine. However, when the Polish Navy reported the need for a new flying boat, it was decided to offer it the PZL-12. Unfortunately, work on the development of the structure is in progress, in one of the flights. the creator of the machine died, which interrupted its development and the abandonment of the entire project in 1931.
