The Lednice Palace (part of the Lednice Castle) is a magnificent residential building erected in the territory of the present-day Czech Republic, and more precisely in the South Moravian country, not far from the city of Brno. The first building on the site of the present palace was probably erected in the 12th or early 13th century, as the first references to this subject are already certified for around 1220. Of course, it was then, first of all, an eminently defensive castle. However, in the 16th century the building was rebuilt in the Renaissance style, and soon (in the 17th century) into a residence with mainly Baroque features. Finally, the last reconstruction took place at the end of the 18th century, when the palace in Lednice received a neo-Gothic form, which can be admired to this day. At present, the building is a large tourist attraction, where you can visit, for example, an orangery or selected apartments.
