STAR 12.185 WITH CRANE PM 0184H

Star 12.185 is a modern truck produced in Poland in Zakłady Starachowickie. The maximum total weight of the wagon is 12 tons. The drive is a single 4-cylinder Euro2 engine with a power of up to 180 HP, synchronized with the 5-speed EATON 5206 gearbox. The Star 12.185 truck is one of the fruits of the cooperation established between Zakłady Starachowickie and MAN, which was initiated in 1998, and a year later (1999), led to the partial takeover of STAR plants by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG. As a result, the cars entering production after 2000 were largely unified with light and medium MAN trucks, having very similar technical parameters. This note also applies to the Star 12.185. It is worth adding that the latter is produced in various body configurations and in specialized versions. One of such versions is Star 12.185 with a built-in PM0184H basket lift manufactured in the Bumar-Koszalin plant. Such a configured vehicle is used by the energy services and - to a small extent - by the Polish armed forces.
