The Udo Saki lighthouse is located on the eastern tip of the Japanese island of Kyushu, approx. 10 km from the city of Aburatsu. The facility was erected in 1964, but it was put into use in 1967. The height of the lighthouse tower is 14 meters, with the lighthouse itself rising 45 meters above sea level. The range of the light emitted by this lighthouse is 14 nautical miles, or approx. 26 kilometers. The building is made of concrete, and is clearly styled in the traditional Japanese architecture. The entire Udo Saki lighthouse, including the lantern and roof, are painted white. It is worth noting that it is located in a well-known and, in a way, very popular in Japan, an observation park Nichinan Kaigun. Currently, a lighthouse Udo Saki is under the administration of the regional coastguard.
