Pafawag 4E (another designation: HCP 303E or EU07 series) is a series of standard-gauge electric locomotives, which was produced in the years 1965-1977 and 1983-1992 at the Pafawag plants in Wrocław and HCP plants in Poznań. The service weight of a single locomotive is 80-83.4 tons, and its length with buffers - from 15.92 to 16.24 m. The average of the wheels is 1250 mm, with the Bo'Bo 'axle system. The EU07 series locomotives were an evolutionary development of the EU06 series locomotives, which were manufactured by English Electric for the needs of PKP. Both series are almost identical - the EU07, however, differs in the used driver's cab heating system or the use of metric units. In 1983, HCP plants resumed production of the EU07 series locomotives (designation: HCP 303E), but introduced some modifications to the structure of the locomotive's body, as well as larger scrapers under the headstock. All locomotives of this second production batch were also adapted to the assembly of a automatic coupler. The EU07 series locomotives are universal and can haul both passenger trains weighing up to 700 tons at a maximum speed of 125 km / h, and freight trains weighing up to 2000 tons at a speed of 70 km / h. Locomotives of this type are still operated and modernized.
