The neo-Romanesque church in Kochłowice (now a district of Ruda Śląska, Śląskie Voivodeship) was established in connection with the intensive industrial development of the city and Ruda Śląska at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the repolonization of these areas, associated with the influx of a large number of Roman Catholic people. What is right, in Kochłowice, there was a baroque church of this confession from 1806, but it was too small to meet the pastoral needs of the growing population. Therefore, in the years 1900-1902, during the parish priesthood, Fr. Ludwik Tunkla, a new Neromanian style temple with neo-Gothic elements of the invocation was brought in. Of the Holy Trinity, the architect of which was Ludwig Schneider. The new building was a three-nave structure, had a transept, and its towers were characterized by high-end helmets. Unfortunately, the intensive development of the city, especially the progressive exploitation of hard coal deposits and the related mining damage, led to the fall of the church in Kochłowice into ruin, and this interesting object has been undergoing restoration works for many years.
