Star 21 is a Polish road truck manufactured by Fabryka Samochodow (FSC) "Star" in Starachowice. The first copies of this vehicle were built in 1956, and serial production continued in the years 1957-1960. The vehicle was powered by a single 85hp S42 gasoline engine. Star 21 was created as a far-reaching development of the Star 20 truck and its successor. It took many elements from its predecessor (e.g. the power unit), but made some significant modernizations. First of all, a completely new 5-speed gearbox was used, which significantly improved the driving dynamics. The main transmission in the drive train, springs and shock absorbers were also changed. Externally, however, Star 21 was similar to its predecessor, especially as a result of the assembly of the same N20 or N23 type wagon driver's cabins. The production of the Star C21 version, which was a tractor unit capable of towing a D60 single-axle semi-trailer, was launched relatively quickly. After 1960, cars from the Star 21 series began to be replaced by Star 25 models.
