The SG-10 was a Polish prototype half-track artillery tractor from the Cold War period. Prototypes of the vehicle were built in the years 1949-1954, but the car did not enter serial production. The vehicle prototypes were powered by a single 93hp S-42 carburetor engine. The vehicle did not have any permanent weapons. The SG-10 was developed on the basis of the Star 20 truck, and its main task was to tow guns with a caliber above 100 mm. In general, the model was taken from the German carrier from World War II, Opel Maultier, and the Soviet vehicles: ZiS-42 and GAZ-60. Despite the high pace of work, the new vehicle turned out to be a fairly successful design that performed well off-road and quite decently on the road. Ultimately, however, it was not put into production, due to the appearance of the universal military truck Star 66, which had clearly better performance on the road and similar in the field. It could also act as an artillery tractor.
