The Kerametal Alligator is a modern Slovak universal wheeled transport and reconnaissance vehicle. The vehicle is 4.34 meters long, 1.95 meters high and 2.37 meters wide. The wheelbase is 2.82 meters. The curb weight of the car is 5.5 tons. The drive is provided by a single, 6-cylinder Deutz BF6M engine with fuel injection. The range of the car while driving on the road oscillates around 660 kilometers. Kerametal Alligator was developed mainly for the needs of the Slovak armed forces. It is a light transport and reconnaissance vehicle with amphibious properties. From the very beginning, it was assumed that it would be a universal vehicle with as much modernization potential as possible, which was achieved to a large extent. The vehicle is also very mobile in the field and is protected by armor, which provides protection against weapons with a caliber of up to 7.62 mm and shrapnels, analogous to, for example, the French Panhard VBL. At present, the main user of Kerametal Aligator is the Slovak army.
