HCP 302D (another designation: SP47 series) is a short series of prototype diesel locomotives, which was produced in the years 1975-1977 at the Hipolit Cegielski in Poznań (abbreviated: HCP). The service weight of a single locomotive was 114 tons, and its length with buffers - 20.18 m. The diameter of the wheels was 1100 mm, with the Co'Co axis system. In total, only two locomotives of this type were built. The first work on the HCP 302D locomotive began in 1972 and was carried out in parallel with the work on the SU46 locomotive. It was assumed that the new locomotive would be dedicated to passenger rolling stock on long-distance and fast routes. Its top speed was planned to be 140 km / h, which, however, was later reduced to 120 km / h. The power unit was to be a powerful, for those times, W2116SSF combustion engine with a capacity of 3000 KM. This potentially very successful and relatively modern design at that time did not meet with the interest of PKP and foreign customers and never entered mass production, and the two constructed prototypes were operated by PKP until the end of the 1990s.
