Px48 is a series of narrow-gauge steam locomotives (steam locomotives), which were produced in the period 1950-1955 at the Fablok plant in Chrzanów. The length of a single locomotive (with a tender) was 12.83 meters, and the service weight - 22 tons. The diameter of the driving wheels was 750 mm, and the locomotive had Whyte notation axes in the 0-4-0 system. The Px48 steam locomotive was designed and mass-produced as a development of the pre-war Wp29 steam locomotive (another designation: Px29), but it was almost identical to it. May the types of locomotives have at least the same axle system, the same boiler, almost the same size or service weight and, in essence, differ with minor design changes. The design of the new locomotive was approved as early as 1948, but production started only two years later. In total, 81 locomotives of this type were built in the course of production, the lion's share of which went to the Polish State Railways, and only single pieces for export to Albania and the PRC. Many Px48 locomotives have survived in Poland to the present day.
