FSO Warszawa is a Polish passenger and delivery car, which was first presented to the public in 1951. Its serial production continued in the years 1951-1973. It was concentrated at the Fabryka Samochodow Osobowych in Warsaw. A total of about 255,000 copies of this car were produced in the course of production. FSO Warszawa was the first mass-produced Polish passenger car after World War II. It was designed and put into production based on the documentation of the Soviet car GAZ-M20 Pobieda. Initially, Warsaw was an exact copy of the Pobieda car, but in the course of production it was modified at the FSO plants. The car was produced in several body versions, including: 4-door fastback or sedan, but also 5-door station wagon and 2-door pick-up. There are also specialized versions, such as an ambulance or a police car. The car was powered by one of the two in-line engines with 50 HP or 70 HP. FSO Warsaw of the first production batches was clearly characterized by a weak engine, poor acceleration and even disastrous visibility from the passenger compartment. In later games, attempts were made to eliminate these drawbacks, but not entirely effectively. The pluses include relatively high travel comfort, good road properties and a good braking system. FSO Warszawa was replaced by Polski Fiat 125p.
