The ZiŁ-130 is a Soviet / Russian truck, the first prototypes of which appeared in 1958. The serial production lasted in the years 1962-1994 and was concentrated in the Ził plant in Moscow. In the period 1992-1994, the model was also manufactured at UAMZ plants. Approximately 3.4 million trucks of this type were produced in its course. The ZiŁ-130 was developed and put into production as a successor to the ZiŁ-164 car. Compared to its predecessor, it received primarily an engine generating much greater maximum power (170 HP versus 97 HP), which translated into significantly better performance and load capacity, which increased from 4,000 kg to 6,000 kg. During the long series production, the vehicle underwent only two major modernizations: in 1966 and 1977. The car is characterized by a solid structure, high load capacity, it is able to work in very low temperatures, but it is not very economical - fuel consumption per 100 km reaches 45-55 liters of fuel. Many specialized versions were created on the ZiŁ-a-130 chassis, such as a truck tractor, tipper truck or fire truck.
