The Mgebrov-Renault was a Russian armored car from the First World War. The first cars of this type entered the line in 1916. In total, only 11 such vehicles were built. The cart was 5.1 meters long and 2.3 meters wide. The curb weight slightly exceeded 3 tons. The maximum speed on the road reached 40-45 km / h. The armament of the car was usually 1 or 2 machine guns with a caliber of 7.62 mm. Mgebrov-Renault was created as a result of modernization of Renault armored vehicles delivered to Russia in 1915. The main modification was to strengthen the armor and cover the crew compartment from above. This modernization was the responsibility of Cpt. Mgebrov, and it was carried out in the Izhora Works. Cars of this type took an active part in World War I, and the surviving ones were also used during the civil war in Russia. They remained in the Red Army until 1930! Interestingly, in the photos from the 1920s, the vehicles have two turrets with weapons, while originally each of the cars had one turret.
