SHL M04 is a Polish motorcycle from the post-war period, which was presented to the general public for the first time in 1949, and actually its production started in the same year. The length of the vehicle was approximately 2.03 meters with a width of 0.69 meters. The drive was provided by a single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 123 cm3 and a maximum power of 4 HP. The maximum speed did not exceed 70 km / h. The M04 model was developed and initially produced at Huta Ludwików near Kielce, as a fairly far-reaching development of the M03 and M02 models. The motorcycle was characterized by a relatively simple structure, which still used many technical and technological solutions known from the SHL M01 motorcycle produced at the end of the 1930s. Generally, however, it was quite a successful construction at the time of the creation and the possibilities of the Polish industry at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s. It is also worth adding that from 1952 the production of the motorcycle was also carried out at the WFM plant in Warsaw. From 1955, serial production of SHL M04 was stopped.
