AUTOBUS JELCZ 080 W WERSJI WOZU DOWODZENIA STRAŻY POŻARNEJ

Jelcz 080 is a Polish, high-floor commuter and intercity bus, which was presented for the first time in 1977. Its serial production was carried out in the years 1978-1984 and took place in Zakłady Samochodowe Jelcz. Jelcz 080 was developed as a successor of the so-called Osinobusa, and in order to shorten the research and development work, a lot of elements from the Jelcz PR110 bus and the Star 200A truck were used in it. Compared to its predecessor, it differed primarily in a completely different shape of the body and passenger compartment, which was now uniform with the driver's compartment. A new drive unit with a much higher power was also used (105 HP in the Osinobus compared to 150 HP in Jelcz 080), the steering and braking systems were also improved. Efforts were also made to improve passenger travel comfort. In the course of production, various types of special versions appeared, such as a school bus, a fire brigade command car or a tourist bus with airplane seats.
