Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 was a German seaplane from World War I and the early interwar period in a monoplane configuration. The machine first flew in 1918 and entered production in the same year. About 80 machines of this type were built in its course. The drive was provided by a single engine Benz Bz.III with 150 hp. The plane was 9.38 meters long with a wingspan of 13.5 meters. The deck armament consisted of 2-3 7.92 mm machine guns. The Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 aircraft was developed as the successor to the W.12 model of the same aviation manufacturer, and its main designer was the later famous aircraft constructor Ernst Heinkel. Both machines had many common features - for example, the fuselage and tail were basically the same. However, the aerodynamic system was radically changed, as the W.12 model was a biplane, and the W.29 was a low wing. The wingspan of the new machine was also increased. Undoubtedly, the Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 aircraft turned out to be a successful design, and during or shortly after World War I it was operated in countries such as Austria-Hungary, Denmark and Norway.
