2-2011 ANDERS

The Anders is a modern Polish prototype fire support vehicle or infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), also classified as a light tank. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in 2010, but the car has not yet entered mass production. The combat weight of the vehicle, without additional armor, is to be approx. 33 tons. The vehicle is currently armed with a single 120mm cannon or a 30mm cannon, Spike anti-tank missiles and two 7.62mm and 12.7mm machineguns. Anders was designed and constructed in the company OBRUM sp. Z oo in Gliwice, with the support of the Bumar-Łabędy group. The design of the vehicle was developed on a multi-purpose combat platform, which allows a relatively easy configuration of the vehicle in an IFV or fire support vehicle. Ultimately, it is also intended to facilitate the creation of an entire family of vehicles. In the IFV version, the vehicle can carry up to 8 troops, and its armor meets the STANAG 3 standards, with the option of adding additional armor. It is also planned to use active means of defense. The Anders vehicle is currently not mass-produced in any of the possible versions.
