The 406Ra wagon (another name: Zaes 406Ra) is a modern tank wagon with a four-axle structure, Polish production, 12.34 meters long and a tank capacity of 61 m3. The empty weight of the wagon is 23 tons. The 406Ra wagon was developed and produced by the factory in Świdnica in 1946-1981, undergoing modernization in the course of it. It was used as a replacement for type 29R wagons. The wagon is designed for the transport of various types of petroleum products, as well as other flammable products, such as benzene, benzol, xylene or various types of industrial oils. The wagon has a heating installation inside the tank. Interestingly, the wagon can be filled both from the top and from the bottom. The cistern is made of high-quality steel sheets. The 406Ra car was and is used primarily in Poland, but it was also exported.
