Ferrari Antares II (actually: Abbate-Ferrari Racer F1 "Antares II") is an Italian racing motorboat, or actually a hydrofoil from the mid 1950s. The unit was built in 1954, and as the power unit it used a specially built 4-cylinder Ferrari engine with a capacity of 2.8 liters and generates a maximum power of 223 hp, which was based on the engines used by the company in Formula 1 races. Ferrari Antares II was designed and built by Italian racing boat and motorboat builder Guido Abbate for Swiss water racing enthusiast Augusto Shapiro. The constructor gave his department a highly streamlined shape, and the hull was made almost entirely of aluminum, making the Ferrari Antares II light but durable.
