Vranov nad Dyjí Castle was originally a medieval fortification work located in the Czech Republic, more precisely in the South Moravian country in the south of the country. Vranov nad Dyjí Castle was built before 1100 on a 70-meter high rock as a very important border castle in the south of the Czech Republic. At the beginning of its history, it was owned by the Czech monarchs. However, since the 15th century, the castle changes owners, including the powerful Lichtenburg family. In 1665, the castle was partially destroyed by a fire. As a result, the building was not only reconstructed, but also far-reaching - in the spirit of the baroque. And the castle itself turned into a magnificent palace. Finally, the works were completed only in the 18th century. The palace has an impressive so-called The Hall of Ancestors and the castle chapel of high artistic value. It is worth noting that from 1843 until World War II, the residence belonged to the Polish Stadnicki family. Currently, the palace is administered by the National Heritage Institute and is open to tourists.
