CN2T "LAS" POLSKI PAROWÓZ WĄSKOTOROWY Z 1948 R.

Cn2T (another designation: Las47) is a series of narrow-gauge steam locomotives (steam locomotives), which were produced in the years 1948-1958 by the Fablok plant in Chrzanów. The length of a single locomotive was 5.95 meters, and the service weight - 12 tons. The diameter of the driving wheels was 630 mm, and the locomotive had Cn2T axles. A total of 640 copies of this locomotive were built. The Las47 steam locomotive was constructed as a modification of the German locomotive called Ryś, and the main change was to increase the number of axles from two to three, which reduced the load on one axle and improved the running characteristics of the locomotive. Las47 was dedicated to tracks with a gauge of 600, 700, 750 and 760 mm and was used mainly in forest railways, and these steam locomotives were not included in the PKP rolling stock. They were used to haul freight rolling stock - very rarely passenger. They were exported in small numbers to countries such as Bulgaria or Romania.
