Tw29 is a series of narrow-gauge steam locomotives (steam locomotives), which were produced in the period 1929-1930 at the Fablok plant in Chrzanów. The service weight of the locomotive was 42 tons. The diameter of the driving wheels was 800 mm, and the axles were constructed in the Whyte notation in the 0-5-0 system. The Tw29 steam locomotive was constructed on the basis of the German T.40 series steam locomotive produced by the Schwarzkopff (later BMAG) plant in Berlin. Compared to the original, relatively small changes were introduced, mainly related to the chassis. The most important modernization was the removal of the so-called blind axle, which turned out to be a complicated solution, difficult and time-consuming to operate. The design turned out to be highly successful and was successfully used by the Polish State Railways until the outbreak of World War II. After its completion, the technical documentation of the Tw29 steam locomotive became the basis for the development of the locomotives: Tw47 and Tw53. In total, only 6 examples of the Tw29 were built, and the surviving ones after 1945 were used until the 1960s and 1970s.
