The T-35 is a Soviet multi-turret tank from the interwar period and World War II. The first prototypes of this vehicle were built in the years 1932-1933, and serial production was carried out in the years 1934-1938 or 1939. About 60 examples of this vehicle were produced during this process. In the basic version, the combat weight of the tank was up to 50 tons. The drive was provided by a single M-17 carburetor engine with a capacity of 500 HP. The primary armament was a 76.2mm cannon and two 37mm or 45mm cannons, while the secondary armament consisted of 5 to 6 DT 7.62mm machine guns. Design work on the T-35 started in 1929, and their main goal was to create a multi-turreted heavy tank. The emphasis is primarily on the most powerful weapons possible, with the armor being treated as a secondary issue. The inspiration for the British A1E1 Independent from the Vickers plant was quite clearly drawn. Although the car was approved for production and service in the Red Army, it generated many problems. First of all, it was characterized by limited maneuverability, with poor armor, and effective and efficient commanding a crew of 10-11 people turned out to be practically impossible. Despite later modification attempts (e.g. thickening of the frontal armor), the tank, like other multi-turreted tanks, turned out to be a dead end in the development of armored weapons. Combat vehicles of this type were used in the initial period of the German-Soviet war of 1941-1945.
