The Ford Aeromax is an American truck and tractor unit that was first presented to the public in 1988. Its serial production lasted mainly in the years 1988-1995. The Aeromax was designed as Ford's response to the Kenworth T600 and to maintain its truck market share by the company founded by Henry Ford. Structurally, the new model was derived from trucks from the so-called L series (commonly known as Ford Louisville). Compared to its predecessor, however, the aerodynamics of the vehicle, especially the driver's cab, have been significantly improved and the comfort of its work has been significantly improved. Changes also affected the steering and braking systems. The engine offer was dominated mainly by V8 units with a power of up to 475 HP, both produced by Ford, Catterpilar and Cummins. It is worth adding that Ford Aeromax trucks and tractors were built on 2- and 3-axle chassis.
