The Messerschmitt Bf-110 is a German twin-engine heavy metal fighter with a double tail. The first prototype of the Bf-110 took off in May 1936. The first mass-produced version of the Bf-110 was the C version, which production started in 1939. However, too heavy and too slow, the Bf-110 suffered considerable losses in the Battle of Britain, which meant that it was systematically moved to the Reich Defense units as a night fighter, which eventually led to the creation of the G and H versions. They were used as night fighters and interceptors against allied bombing expeditions. In combination with the on-board radar (eg FuG 202 or FuG220), the Bf-110 became a very formidable enemy for British bombers. About 5,800 copies of this aircraft were manufactured in the course of production.
