The Beechcraft 2000 Starship is a modern, business-class, business-class, twin-engine American aircraft. The drive is provided by two Pratt and Whitney Canada PT-6A-67A turbine engines. The flight of the prototype took place in 1986, and serial production lasted from 1987 to 1995. In its course, 53 examples of this plane were created. The Beechcraft 2000 Starship was developed as a grassroots initiative by its manufacturer, which sought to develop a successor to the King Air series of aircraft it produced. The constructor of the new machine was Burt Rutan. Starship has several unusual solutions for this class of aircraft: it was created in the duck configuration, it has no vertical stabilizer, and its engines drive pushing propellers, not pulling ones. The machine also has very large winglets. As the first aircraft of this type, it also received the so-called Glass Cockpit with a very extensive avionics. The plane, despite the technological advancement, did not turn out to be a great commercial success due to the high price.
