The Dassault Falcon 50 is a French medium commercial and business jet propelled aircraft. It is a three-engine machine, built in a low wing configuration with a three-support undercarriage - retractable in flight. The drive is provided - in the basic version - by three turbofan engines Honeywell TFE 731-3-1C . The flight of the prototype took place in 1976, and serial production began in the same year and lasted until 2008. In total, about 350 copies of this aircraft were built. The Dassault Falcon 50 was developed as a development of the Dassault Falcon 20 aircraft, as its version with a significantly extended range and better flight characteristics. The machine was built in the arrangement popular in the 1960s and 1970s with two engines at the rear of the machine and a third engine at the base of the vertical stabilizer. Compared to the Falcon 20 version, it also differs in the design of the wings. In the course of serial production, two main development versions were created: Falcon 50 (basic version) and Falcon 50EX, which, thanks to the use of new TFE 731-40 engines, has a greater range and lower fuel consumption. Dassault Falcon 50 planes have been or are used in countries such as France, Portugal and Italy.
