The Type 98 Ta-Se is a Japanese prototype tracked anti-aircraft gun from the World War II period. The first copies of this vehicle appeared in 1941, but the car never entered mass production. The length of the vehicle's hull was 4.78 meters and the width was 2.19 meters. The drive was provided by a single 130 HP engine. The armament consisted of two 20mm Type 2 cannons. The Type 98 Ta-Se self-propelled anti-aircraft gun was developed for the needs of the Japanese Imperial Army on the basis of the Type 98 Ke-Ni light tank chassis. Initially, it was intended to use a single 20mm Type 98 cannon, but during the tests, the armament was expanded to two Type 2 cannons of the same caliber. It can be assumed that the vehicle was to provide anti-aircraft defense of its own troops over short and very short distances. Perhaps it would also be used to combat the enemy's manpower. However, the vehicle never entered mass production in any of its versions.
