The PZL-130 Orlik is a modern Polish training and training aircraft. The prototype flight took place in October 1984. Serial production continued in 1992-2002, ending with the production of 50 examples of this aircraft. The drive is provided by a single turboprop engine Walter M-601E or Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A-25C. The plane's top speed is 480 km / h, and the maximum range is 1,050 kilometers without additional fuel tanks. The plane has four under-wing catches that can carry containers with weapons with a total weight of up to 250 kilograms. Work on the new basic training aircraft began in the early 1980s in a team led by Andrzej Frydrychewicz. The project was a grassroots initiative of PZL plants. Initially, the Polish air force did not show much interest in the construction, and attempts to export Orlik (for example to Colombia) were unsuccessful. The first orders for the serial PZL-130 were not received until 1992! Several versions of this aircraft were developed in the course of production, among them, for example: PZL-130 TB (version with instruments highly similar to the TS-11 Iskra plane and Walter engine) or PZL-130 TC (version with catapult seats and richer avionics) .
