HMS Roberts (F40) was a British monitor from the Second World War. The keel for this unit was laid in 1940, and the launch took place in February 1941. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 113.8 meters and a width of 27.4 meters. Full displacement reached approx. 8,000 tons, and the maximum speed was approx. 13 knots. HMS Roberts took an active part in Operation Torch in late 1942, during which it was severely damaged. After refurbishment, it supported the Allied landings in Sicily in 1943 and in the Salerno area the same year. After ferrying to the British Isles, he participated in the Normandy landings in June 1944. The unit was in service - with breaks - until 1965.
