M / S Mieszko I is a Polish merchant ship (the so-called general cargo), which was built at the then shipyard. A. Warski in Szczecin The keel was laid in February 1966, the launch took place in September of the same year, and the ship was commissioned in July 1967. The vessel was 145.3 meters long and 18.8 meters wide. The load capacity did not exceed 10,200 DWT. The operational speed was around 16-17 knots. M / S Mieszko I was designed and built for the needs of Polish Ocean Lines. It was also the first unit of the very successful B-445 project, on which 18 ships were built. M / S Mieszko I was intended primarily for the handling of commercial shipping between the Polish coast and both Americas. Initially, the unit served the connection with the ports of South America, but later was directed to the Red Sea and East Africa. In June 1989, M / S Mieszko I was sold to a Greek shipowner, but in 1991 it was sold for scrap.
