Zastal 418 V is a modern Polish production hopper with a capacity of up to 31 m3 and an unladen weight of 29 tons. A wagon may be hauled in a rolling stock at a maximum speed of 100 km / h. The first prototypes of this wagon were developed in the Poznań office of OBRPS (now: Instytut Pojazdów Szynowych "Tabor") in 1975. The production plant in Świdnica was responsible for the production of prototype copies, but serial production was carried out by the Zastal plant in Zielona Góra. The Zastal 418 V wagon is a four-axle structure, which has undergone various modernizations and changes in the course of production - often for the needs of a given user. One of the most important modernizations took place in 1981, when the floor of the wagon body became all-metal. Wagons of this type were and are still used primarily in Poland, but were also exported to, among others: Iraq, Syria, Czechoslovakia and Hungary.
