The CKD S200 is a Czechoslovakian diesel locomotive from the post-war period, the production of which started in 1963. The service weight of the locomotive is 114.6 tons, the length with buffers is up to 17.24 m, with a width of 3.15 meters. The design speed of the locomotive is 90 km / h and its axle system is Co'Co '. The CKD S200 belongs to the 770 CD series of locomotives and was produced by the CKD plant in Prague, Czech Republic. From the beginning of the design work, it was assumed that the locomotive would be dedicated primarily to the service of freight rolling stock, it was also planned to be manufactured both for internal needs and, above all, for export markets - including the USSR. This recently made it possible to use it both on normal gauge and wide gauge tracks. Production for Czechoslovakia was carried out only in 1967-1969, while the first locomotives of this type were delivered to Poland in 1966. The largest recipient was the USSR, which received as many as 7455 locomotives of this type by 1992! It is worth adding that the CKD S200 locomotive was also exported to other countries, including Iraq and India.
