Warg (plural: Wargowie, ang. Lips or less often varg) is a fantastic creature derived de facto from Scandinavian mythology. In this mythology, such a name was often given to the great wolf Fenrir, but also to other wolf-like beasts: Hati and Sköll. The lips are a beast similar to a wolf, but much larger than it, often exceeding 1.5 meters in height, much more predatory and endowed with considerable intelligence. Of course, these mythological creatures have been extensively exploited in modern fantasy literature. In the works of JRR Tolkien, the Wargs are most often close allies of the orcs and play the role of a kind of "cavalry" with them, distancing ordinary horses with strength, endurance and ferocity in combat. However, in the works of GRR Martin, that is in the book series "Songs of Ice and Fire" on the basis of which the series "Game of Thrones" was created, lips are defined as people who are able to control wolves with their mind.
