The Wolin Gate in Goleniów is a historic city gate, the roots of which date back to the second half of the 13th century. It was erected as one of the city's four gates, but is today the only survivor. Originally, in the 13th century, it was built of hewn erratic boulders, slightly higher than the city walls. In the late Middle Ages (14th-15th centuries), it was added to a high brick tower in the Gothic style with five storeys, but it still performed strictly military functions. What is very important - the Wolin Gate has not been significantly rebuilt and has survived in an almost unchanged, late-medieval shape to the present day. At present, there are two coats of arms of the city of Goleniów: the historical and the present one. The height of the gate itself is 26 meters, and with the pinnacle - almost 30 meters. The gate was restored in the years 1971-1972, and since 2003 it houses the Tourist Information Center.
