KH6-2013 POLSKI SAMOCHÓD CIĘŻAROWY STAR 200 PM-18P

Star 200 is a Polish military and civilian truck manufactured by Fabryka Samochodowych "Star" in Starachowice. The first copies of this vehicle were built in 1966, and serial production was carried out in the years 1976-1994. The vehicle was powered by a single 150hp S359 diesel engine or a 125hp SW-400 diesel engine. The Star 200 was created as the successor of the Star 28/29 series trucks and the Star 25 and Star 27 trucks. Compared to its predecessors, the new car differed primarily in the use of a drive unit with significantly greater maximum power, the size of the vehicle and the shape of the driver's cabin also changed. The curb weight of the new truck has also increased. The car also provided much greater comfort for the driver. The Star 200 was also characterized by trouble-free engine starting, also in winter conditions, relatively low fuel consumption and good driving dynamics. The main disadvantages were very loud engine operation, considerable resistance on the steering wheel and poor corrosion resistance. Several specialized vehicles, such as a fire engine, were built on the basis of Star 200 cars.
