Blohm und Voss P 170 was a project of a German high-speed bomber from the Second World War. The machine has never been tested, much less entered mass production. The drive was to be provided by three BMW 801D engines with 1600 hp each. The machine was to have no on-board armament, but it was to be capable of carrying a bomb load of up to 2,000 kilograms. The maximum speed was to be up to 820 km / h. The Blohm und Voss P 170 project was developed by Richard Vogt in 1942 and assumed the creation of an aircraft with an extremely unorthodox aerodynamic system, consisting of a fuselage with a pilot's cabin, main fuel tank and one engine, and two rectangular wings at the ends of which there were a total of two nacelles. with other engines. It was assumed that the undercarriage would be three-support, but additionally it would be based on a tail wheel. Interestingly, the machine was not supposed to have any defensive armament, because the very high maximum speed was supposed to make it impossible to intercept. The Blohm und Voss P 170 never got beyond the design stage, if only because after 1942 the Luftwaffe focused primarily on the development of fighter planes.
